I started watching Star Wars for the First Time!!!!

I started watching Star Wars for the first time and here are my thoughts on the first episode..

I know i am very late to join the Star Wars train. I have been always interested to watch the movies but have been having second-thoughts because of all the negative reviews and drama going on around the latest movies in the series. Which is one of the reasons i have never seen any of the Star Wars movie because i didn't wanted to invest a good portion of my time just to get disappointed in the end, just like i did with Game of Thrones. But since the Lock-down due to the current situation, I am spending full time in my room and even-though i have work to do, i usually finish it off by noon. So i decided to finally give Star Wars a go. So this will be my experience watching and getting into the Star Wars Universe. Lets see if i will join the hate train with everyone on the internet or will have a different opinion by the end.

I am watching the movies in the original order, not the release order, and here is why.. I did some searching to find the best order to watch the star wars movies and i have found some positives and negatives to both orders. But one of the common and main perk of watching the released order is all the surprises and call backs when seeing a character and knowing who is who and what they are to each other. But unfortunately i know who all is related to who and how from all the memes. So there is no big reveal i can get, at-least from the first six episodes. That is the reason i am watching it in the original order. But if you don't know the relations of the characters, i highly recommend the released order.

So, here is my thoughts on the Star Wars movies. In the current manner, i am watching one Star Wars movie a day, so i will publish my thoughts on each movie everyday. Follow me on Twitter to know when i share my thoughts on all the movies everyday.

My thoughts on Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace

To be honest, I thought the movie was okay. Don't get me wrong, i really had a good time. But the problem i had was with the characters in the movie. Most of the characters in the movie felt like they are not developed enough and not that interesting, of-course with some exception. The main problem i had was with the two Jedi knights. I didn't quiet feel a connection between the characters and didn't feel anything when Qui-Gon Jinn died in fighting the with the sith lord Darth Maul. I also felt that the antagonist in the movie, Darth Maul didn't have any significance in the story. He does look so badass and awesome, but he really don't do anything in the movie until he kill Qui-Gon in the battle. The movie is also have a different approach on story-telling, Scenes fly by very fast, which i adapted to fast but was thrown-off a little in the beginning. These are some of the things i felt were a little off about the movie.

Even with all these, i really had a good time and there are some things i liked too. For the story, this was a very different type of experience. The story and scenes move very fast and jump around so fast. The movie is not dragged out and don't waste a second. It keeps on moving to the next scene after scene. I am very much impressed by the VFX in the movie considering the movie came out in 1999. The movie was way ahead of its time and the Graphics, Techniques and story telling was very different and very engaging. There are also some characters which i really liked, like, Anakin and his mother , Jar Jar and i really liked Padme. I enjoyed the relation between Anakin and his Mother. Even-though i felt a little weird with the vibe between the little Anakin and Padme, i really liked their relation also.

Overall, I enjoyed the first experience with the Star Wars Movie Saga. I am definitely interested in the story and will continue with the series. I watch one movie every day, so if you want to know my thoughts on the coming episodes, Follow me on Twitter: TrivianBlogs
