Mirage (2018)- My Review

About the Movie: Mirage is a Sci-Fi, Drama, Thriller about different time lines and how it affects a mother after she change something that happened 25 years ago by accident. Mirage shows a relationship between a mother and daughter and the extent the mother will go to regain her daughter after she alter the events in the past.

Mirage is a Spanish Netflix Original Directed and co-written by Oriol Paulo. Mirage stars Adriana Ugarte in the lead role, Chino Darin, Nora Navas, and more.

My Review: Mirage is a drama, thriller romance revolving around a mother who has lost her daughter because she saved a boy from his death happened 25 years ago. Mirage is very gripping, thrilling and emotionally engaging. The relations portrayed in the movie is very touching, especially the relation between the mother and the daughter. The movie starts a little slow but gets more engaging and thrilling after a while. But the movie takes the first few minutes to establish the main characters and the relations they have, which added to the emotional investment of the viewers.

Mirage reminded me of the German Netflix Series, Dark (Which i highly recommend), but has its own heart to it. The cast of Mirage is pretty good, all the actors did an amazing job and showed a natural and realistic performance, especially Adriana Ugarte, who played the main character, and had dominated screen-time. Her performance felt so real. The ending of the movie is somewhat predictable but it managed to keep how the ending is reached a mystery throughout the whole film.

Positives: The plot of the movie is somewhat familiar by now, but Mirage has somehow managed to keep original and has its own style to it. All the actors did and amazing job. The cinematography and background music also managed to keep the movie more engaging and thrilling.

Negatives: Cant say its a negative, but i felt it could have been better to show a little more of the relation between the mother and the daughter to have a little more strong connection.

Overall Mirage is a very good Thriller, Romance on Netflix. I really liked the movie. If you liked the series Dark (On Netflix) you will definitely enjoy this one.
