Mammootty starrer CBI 5 set to start shoot from August

CBI has been a successful crime thriller franchise in the Malayalam movie industry. The last movie, Nerariyan CBI was released in 2005. After more than 15 years, the makers are set to launch the next film in the series. 

CBI 5 will be directed by K.Madhu and will be written by S.N. Swamy.

The crew is planning to start the shoot from August 2021 if the current restrictions are lifted. Along with the veteran actors of the franchise Mammootty and Mukesh, CBI 5 will have a new set of actors. Renji Panikker, Soubin Shahir, Asha Sarath and Saikumar among others will be a part of this film.
