My Review:

U Turn movie review

U turn follows the story of a reporter who is planning to do a story on the drivers who break the traffic laws in a flyover. But soon she discovers there is some mystery surrounding the place and tries to get to the bottom of the mystery.

The movie starts of as an interesting mystery thriller but looses its grip towards we reach the climax of the movie. The build-up and everything is done very well, but the twists at the end feel very generic and predictable. The movie also looses its pace through the mid-point of the movie.

I really liked the screenplay, lighting and music in the movie. They really helped me to keep my interest in the movie even when the movie started to lag a bit. The performance by Samantha is also a plus in the movie. The few jump scare moments in the movie is also done well.

U Turn movie review

Positives: Samantha's performance, music and screenplay is what really keeps this movie engaging and entertaining.

Negatives: I felt the climax of the movie could have been a little bit better and thought-out. There is a pacing issue towards the end of the movie.

Overall, U Turn is an interesting movie i have seen recently. The premise of the movie starts out to be something new and interesting but lacks originality towards the end of the movie. I will recommend this movie if you are looking for a simple mystery thriller.

U Turn is available on Netflix (Telugu) and Amazon Prime Video (Tamil).

My Rating: 3/5
